The second grade students built eight snowmen at recess and then built eleven more for a total of nineteen snowmen. To find how many more they built, subtract the original eight from the total of nineteen to get eleven more snowmen built. With nineteen snowmen and each having two eyes, there would be thirty-eight eyes altogether. With nineteen snowmen and each having three buttons, there would be fifty-seven buttons altogether.
