Thomas L Dowdy BIO - I founded Florida-based National In-Store (NIS) with a $20,000 second mortgage on my house, and directed the company's growth from start-up in 1994 to the sale of NIS to Omnicom Group Inc. (NYSE: OMC) in 2004. Under my leadership, NIS had 10 straight years of double digit growth and grew to $46 million in annual sales and 20% EBITA by providing "one stop, end-to-end solutions" for retailers and brands with a national coverage footprint of over 8,000 merchandisers, brand ambassadors, sales trainers and reset/remodel specialists.
