My teaching is driven by a desire for social justice. I have chosen to teach art because I believe the arts are a direct line to a person’s heart. No other subject can incite, inspire and connect like the arts. My aim is to motivate my students to become as engaged in their education as an artist is engaged in their art-making. I am passionate about community-based arts education as well as multicultural and arts integrated curricula.
