For me it must start at the very beginning, before my generation; with those who have come before me. I am a decedent of Chinese, Creole and African ancestors, and regardless to what "society" has tried to brand me with, I have chosen to completely embrace all of my heritage, background and culture. It doesn't matter what color or tone of skin you have. I encourage you to seek the truth about your heritage. Just because we have been told and taught certain beliefs and rituals over time, it doesn't mean it's absolute truth or more importantly, our personal absolute truth.
