This document discusses measuring key collaborating behaviors in the workplace. It proposes evaluating individuals, teams, and networks on collaboration based on both self-assessments and data tracking online contributions. Metrics would include posts, replies, tags, mentions, cross-team conversations, and use of media. Scores would rate employees as inactive, learner, collaborator, or super-collaborator. The system would provide personal dashboards and be part of ongoing performance reviews. A pilot program was tested and feedback was positive overall for using metrics to encourage virtual leadership and collaboration.
