As a senior faculty member in the Culture and Intensive English Program at the University of Northern Iowa, he and his colleagues take the lead in teaching international students, curriculum development, mentoring of pre-service teachers, and student and program assessment. As a former commissioner for The Commission on English Language Program Accreditation (CEA) and a CEA Self Study Coordinator, Tom brings his 20 + years in the field to his work as a CEA reviewer.
