Thomas Rucker Methvin was part of the Student Y chapter of the YMCA at his school in 12th grade, playing a part in deciding the activities the organization would conduct at his school. This allowed him to develop a deeper understanding of the YMCA and the role that it plays in helping young men to find kindred spirits and enjoy activities together.
