The widespread presence , and overall lack of American response to human trafficking and modern day slavery is a social situation I am particularly interested in. Present day there are an estimated 27 million slaves worldwide. Human trafficking is the largest growing industry in the world.
There is undoubtedly a pandemic of human trafficking and modern day slavery in the world and US, but the problem is virtually unpublicized. Enforcement of the problem is very weak nationally, and virtually non-existent abroad.
