Tom Mackey is Professor of Arts and Media at SUNY Empire State College. He published several books for ALA / Neal Schuman with Trudi Jacobson from the University at Albany including Metaliterate Learning for the Post-Truth World (2019), Metaliteracy: Reinventing Information Literacy to Empower Learners (2014) and Metaliteracy in Practice (2016). Tom published an article in January 2011 with Trudi Jacobson introducing the metaliteracy concept entitled Reframing Information Literacy as a Metaliteracy in College & Research Libraries (C & RL).
