I've worked as a journalist covering Silicon Valley since 1984.
In 2004 I became the first journalist to leave a major newspaper, the Financial Times to work full-time as a journalist blogger. I founded Silicon Valley Watcher.com--reporting on the business and culture of disruption.
I have two children, Matthew, born 1987, and Sarah, born 1995.
