Trey Downs is a Republican candidate for Sheriff in Oconee County. I am a lifelong resident of Oconee County and graduated from Oconee County High School. I have been employed in law enforcement for 13 years and began my career with the Barrow County Sheriff's Office.
While employed at the Barrow County Sheriff鈥檚 Office, I was assigned to the jail division, court security division, and the patrol division. In 2001, I accepted a position with the Jefferson Police Department.
