There are three types of sentences: declarative sentences that make statements and end in periods, interrogative sentences that ask questions and end in question marks, and exclamatory sentences that show strong feeling or surprise and end in exclamation marks. Examples are provided for each type of sentence.

• Makes a statement (tells you something)
• Ends in a period
• Examples:

• My favorite color is green.
• Tigers are wild animals.
3. Exclamatory Sentences
• Shows strong feeling or surprise
• Ends with an exclamation mark
• Examples:
• Get over here now!
• This is the best day ever!
4. Interrogative Sentences
• Asks a question
• Ends with a question mark
• Examples:
• Where do you live?
• Can you come over?
• How can I help you?
