Overview: Computational (DFT and Thermodynamics based) study of oxygen vacancy formation, their interaction, migration, and phase stability in complex oxides in relation to solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) materials. Currently working on two different projects: 1) Investigating the vacancy interaction in a mixed electronic and ionic conductor, SOFC cathode material. This work involves experimental sample preparation to characterization (using XRD, MOS) and computational (using VASP, MedeA) design of the cathode material (Lanthanum strontium ferrite).
