Dr. Md. Taibur Rahman has 20+ years of professional experience both with the government and international organizations. He is currently working as Director (Joint Secretary)in the IMED, Ministry of Planning, Government of Bangladesh. He worked with UNDP Bangladesh for four years lastly as Programme Coordinator (National Climate Change Policy Formulation) and managed some key climate change-related projects including National Adaptation Plan (NAP) formulation project and Renewable Energy Promotion project. He obtained his MSc. and Doctor of Engr. from TU Dortmund University, Germany, and Bachelor from Khulna University, Bangladesh all in the Urban & Rural/regional Development Planning field
