The X is important for fans in Europe. Millions line the route, to cheer
their favorites. The journalist Pierre Chany wrote:
The X has the major fault of dividing the country, the smallest hamlets, even
families, into rival factions. I know a man who grabbed his wife and held her on
the grill of a lighted stove, sitting with her dress pulled up, to punish her for
favouring Jacques Anquetil while he admired Raymond Poulidor. The following
year, the woman became a Poulidoriste, but too late: the husband had changed his
allegiance to Felice Gimondi. The last I heard, they were digging their heels in and
the neighbours were complaining.

X's competitive nature often emerged in nearly constant trash-talking on the court. Some notable
examples follow:
During the three-point shooting contest on All-Star Weekend 1986, X entered the locker room,
looked around without saying a word, then finally said, "I want all of you to know I am winning this
thing. I'm just looking around to see who's gonna finish up second." He won the shooting contest.
Reggie Miller tried to disrupt X's concentration when he was shooting free throws late in a game. X
glared at him, made the first free throw and said, "You got to be kidding me. Rook, I'm the best shooter
in the league right now. In the league. Understand? And you're up here trying to say something?" He then
buried the second free throw.
Late in a tied game against the Seattle SuperSonics, X told Supersonics forward Xavier McDaniel, who
was guarding him, Im going to get [the ball] right here and I am going to bury it in your face. As
McDaniel remembers it, he responded by saying, I know, Ill be waiting. After a timeout, X made two
baseline cuts, then posted in the exact spot he had indicated to McDaniel, paused, turned, and made it in
his face. He finished up the sequence by telling McDaniel, I didnt mean to leave two seconds on
the clock.

This "classic" game has its origins in the 1970s, but never found as
wide an audience as it did in the 90s. Inspired from the arcade game
"Blockade", where each player moves their character around leaving a
trail behind them, and similar games like Checkmate and Surround
and the light cycle game in Tron's video game, it is now known
worldwide by what name?
33. 16.
Hes the type of bloke you would want to have on your side.
When you see an Indian side with X in the line-up, you know its
game on. You dont have to like or dislike him. You have to respect
him. Steve Waugh

The standard numbering plan for the X with a 20 on top was created
in 1896 by Lancashire carpenter Brian Gamlin. However, a great many
other configurations have been used throughout the years and in different
geographical locations. Gamlin's layout was devised to penalise inaccuracy.
Although this applies to most of the X, the left-hand side (near the 14
section) is preferred by beginners, for its concentration of larger numbers.
Mathematically, removing the rotational symmetry by placing the "20" at
the top, there are 19!, or 121,645,100,408,832,000 possible X. There have
been several mathematical papers published that consider the "optimal"

A X is a very tall beer glass used for drinking around 2.5 imperial pints (1.4
l) of beer, depending upon the diameter.. The object is to drink the entire
glassful without pausing for breath, and/or to drink it as quickly as possible.
The glass most probably originated in 17th-century England and was a
testament to the glassblower's skill as much as the drinker's The diarist and
Fellow of the Royal Society John Evelyn records the formal yet festive drinking
of X as toast to James II at Bromley in Kent, 1683.Former Australian Prime
Minister Bob Hawke was previously the world record holder for the fastest
drinking of X, when he downed one in eleven seconds as part of a traditional
Oxford college penalty
