Hawaii must overcome enormous engineering, scientific, economic, and social challenges to make the transformation from a fossil fuels based economy to an economy based on renewable energy and conservation.
The REIS project brings together a multidisciplinary team of faculty from the Colleges of Engineering, Social Science, Natural Science, and the School of Ocean and Earth Science and Technology to work on cutting edge research and education problems in renewable energy and island sustainability (REIS).
