Storybird Studio is a free online application that allows users to create, share, and read stories and poetry. The Storybird Studio educator platform enables teachers to set up private classrooms, create assignments, and share student work. The tutorial document outlines how to set up an educator account on Storybird Studio, navigate the site to find artwork and write stories, create a classroom and assignment, and review the tutorial objectives.
The document discusses various strategies for data protection and disaster recovery, including tape, disk, and cloud-based solutions provided by Iron Mountain. It notes that tape strategies are reliable and inexpensive for large data sets and long-term retention but have slow recovery times, while disk and cloud strategies offer faster recovery times but are more expensive. The document promotes Iron Mountain's services for secure offsite tape storage, testing, disaster recovery, and secure destruction to help businesses protect their data through the full lifecycle and meet their recovery objectives.

This study compared the results of laser myringotomy (LM) and conventional incisional myringotomy (IM) in treating otitis media with effusion in children. 98 ears in 66 children underwent either LM or IM along with adenoidectomy. The laser myringotomy group showed a higher rate of clearing of middle ear effusion, longer perforation patency, and greater hearing improvement compared to the incisional myringotomy group. Laser myringotomy provided effective ventilation of the middle ear cavity with fewer complications than conventional incisional myringotomy in managing otitis media with effusion in children.
This document summarizes a study comparing medical versus surgical management of otitis media with effusion (OME) in children. 62 children with 112 affected ears were treated initially with conservative medical management including medications. Middle ear effusion cleared in 80 ears (71.5%) with medical treatment alone. The remaining 32 ears that did not improve were treated with surgical interventions like adenoidectomy, myringotomy, and ventilation tube insertion. Surgical treatment resulted in improved hearing and clearance of middle ear effusion in most cases. The study concluded that while medical treatment is effective in resolving OME in about 70% of cases, surgical intervention should be considered for cases that do not respond to or recur with medical management alone.
