Fernando Vaccotti is a Naval Systems Graduate, a Retired Full Captain of Uruguay鈥檚 Navy, Staff Officer and he holds a Political Sciences PhD. He has over 30 years of experience as a Navy officer. During his tenure in the Navy he have been appointed to serve in Combat Ships Units, is a Marine (鈥淔usilero Naval鈥�) and a Navy Diver. He has also served the Naval Aviation in Uruguay.
In Uruguay, he has been appointed at the Ministry of National Defense as Chief of the Special Operations Department and Advisor of the Foreign Affairs Department. He has also contributed to the National Board for the Control of Drug Trafficking and Abuse of Drugs (at the Presidency).
