I am born and brought up in Pune. I completed my post graduation from the National School of Drama (NSD), New Delhi. I have been involved in theatre activity since my childhood. I was a member of Shishuranjan, Pune - a theatre group working for children. At the age of 16, I founded my own group - Abhijaat Rangabhoomi, Pune in 1985. Since then I have directed more than 50 short plays and full-length plays. I have been involved in Street Theatre to a great extent and have performed around 350 shows of different street plays created on socially relevant issues.
