Education

Vicente del Rio is an architect, planner and urban designer with international training and professional experience. He studied at the Federal and State universities in Rio de Janeiro, at Oxford Polytechnic University, and at the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Since 2001 he teaches at California State University in San Luis Obispo where he is a professor of city planning. From 1979 to 2001 he taught at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro where he was a full professor and graduate coordinator.
