Editor's Notes

  • #19: The data collection at the BOY was done by an internal independent team that administered the Running Record assessment for 1st thru 4th grade. The regression over the summer at Primary is expected, but does allow us to see that possible summer intervention opportunities are needed. For our Elementary campus last year, we emphasized the triangle of accuracy/FLUENCY/and comprehension for solid reading. That is evident in the minimal regression over the summer from the students of that campus. Our second and third grade teachers started the year with students that were solid at the level they left the previous year. Last year was the first year for the Intermediate campus to administer running records. It is evident in the regression over summer in fourth grade, that fluency was not considered when finding an independent level for that student.
