Operation and maintenance intern at Afam VI CCPP and Okpai IPP located in Afam and Okpai respectively. Tasks which I carried out includes: • Monitor power plant equipment indicators to detect evidence of operating problems. • Adjust controls to generate specified electrical power or to regulate the flow of power between generating stations substations. • Regulate equipment operations conditions, like water levels, based on instruments data or from computers. • Start or stop generators, auxiliary pumping equipment, turbines, or other power plant equipment as necessary. • Maintain auxiliary equipment, like all plant pumps, fans, air drier compressors, boiler condensers, feed water heaters, ...
