since the begining before spirits had physical bodies they were already created in pairs. since the aspect of putting spirits into physical bodies ment being apart from their rightful mate the gods linked them together with a single thread..a thread that could reach the farthest ends of the earth.. so no matter how far they may be..somday some how.. they would always find each other.
