Studied at M.T. Seminary High School from 5th to 10th class, then did Pre-Degree and B.Sc (Physics) at St. Berchmans College Changanassery and M.Sc (Physics) at Cochin University. Then did an M. Tech in Physical Engineering at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore (Bengalru) before joining Centre for Earth Science Studies, Thiruvananthapuram on January 19, 1979. Did my PhD in Physics while working there. Was awarded the PhD for work in Atmospheric Electricity in 1994. Later worked in rainfall stdies, before taking voluntary retirement at the end of the year2007.
