I believe that any efforts to curb poverty in Africa must have at its core the promotion of entrepreneurship and the provision of services to the informal sector. Microfinance has paved the way toward establishing a model for transacting with the informal sector. I have now decided to apply the experience acquired in Microfinance, Private Equity and Information technology to solving the housing gap at the bottom of the socio-economic pyramid in Africa. I have recently set up Urbanis Africa, a company dedicated to providing low income housing to Africans.
