Walker graduated cum laude from UCLA with an undergraduate degree in dance, where she was awarded the Dean's Gold Medal of Honor. She went on to receive her Masters of Fine Arts degree in dance from UCLA as well. After teaching and performing, Walker returned to school, graduating from Antioch University/Seattle with a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology.
