Wanjiru is a filmmaker with over ten years of experience in film and television.
In addition to producing media for the local industry in Kenya, Wanjiru鈥檚 short films have been in official selections at several world festivals. In 2010 her short film Weakness, was nominated for a Kalasha Award and a 2011 Africa Movie Academy Award.
Wanjiru has also trained aspiring filmmakers in script development workshops for the Kenya Film Commission, Kibera Film School, MFDI Swaliwood Script Workshop (in Dar es Salaam) and the Africa Digital Media Institute.
