Currently devotes his time to Civil Society's struggle for real democracy, peace and development in his country Venezuela; and to his professional career as an international consultant on Development matters, mainly focusing on institutional capacity building and policy advice to developing country governments and international organizations.
Based in Europe between 1996 and 2009, Mr. Corrales served as Venezuelan Ambassador to the WTO and the UN-Geneva until 2001, and actively engaged in development-related policy research and advice concerning developing countries ever since.
