Currently serving as principal and co-chairman of Fortress Investment Group LLC, Wes Edens has built an impressive history of achievement in private equity, with a number of key buyouts and investments across various market sectors to his credit. Wes Edens commenced his career at Lehman Brothers in 1987, subsequently becoming a partner and the managing director of the firm. Upon leaving Lehman in 1993, Mr. Edens went on to BlackRock Financial Management, where he further cultivated his niche as head of private equity fund BlackRock Asset Investors.
