I'm a problem-solver and have spent most of my career working on data tools and systems. I'm particularly interested in improving the usability of data tools for programmers, accelerating data access and in-memory data processing performance, and improving data system interoperability.
From 2010 through 2013, I was instrumental in getting the Python data ecosystem off the ground through the pandas project and my book "Python for Data Analysis"​.
