Ir Fariz has over 16 years of professional experience in the Armed Forces. A retired Royal Engineer Regiment Officer, he joined the Malaysian Armed Forces Academy in 2000 and commissioned in the Corps in 2006. During his 16 years of services, he served in several units as mechanised troop commander, field engineer force commander, intelligence staff officer and his last post as the technical staff officer in Army Headquarters, Ministry of Defense.
