I am an Agronomist who is currently working with Oil Palms but has worked with Rice and Peanuts in the tropics of Papua New Guinea (PNG). I love my current job because I have the opportunity to work uniquely with palms grown on volcanic soils in the tropics-they have their challenges. Currently my role is provision of technical services to the plantation managers with advice on how best to manage their palms to achieve the highest yield possible (30t/ha/year). Annually I plan and coordinate Foliar sampling, Fertilizer sampling, Fertilizer quality monitoring and soil sampling covering about 36000ha.
