You may receive the following error while setting-up a
new VPN connection.
Source: Error 919VPN Windows8
Turn Off the Firewall Protection
For Windows 8.1/ 8:
Press Windows Key + X.
Click Control Panel.
Click System and Security | Windows Firewall.
Click Turn Windows Firewall On or Off link on the left
panel.
Turn off the Firewall protection, and then click OK
button.
For Earlier Versions of Windows:
Click the Start button.
Type Windows Firewall in the Search Box.
Press ENTER.
Refer Steps # 4-5 from Windows 8.1/ 8 users paragraph.
Change Routing & Remote Access
Configurations
Launch the Routing and Remote Access configurations
page.
Your server name will be displayed. Right click it.
Select Properties from the context menu.
Click the IPv4 tab.
As default you would see DHCP option will be selected.
You have to select Static address pool option.
Specify the following values:
Start: 192.168.1.200
End: 192.168.1.255
Click Apply | OK.
Change RRAS Console Settings
Launch the RRAS Console on your VPN Server.
Click Start | Run.
Type rrasmgmt.msc in the Open textbox, click OK.
Right click your server name and select Properties.
Click the Security tab in the new dialog.
Click Authentication methods.
Check-up the box labelled MSCHAPv2.
Click Apply | OK.
Modify Remote Access Policy
Settings
Launch IAS Console on your Radius Server.
Click Start | Run.
Type ias.msc and press ENTER.
Expand the Remote Access Policies node.
Double click a policy named Remote Access Policy.
Click Connections to Microsoft Routing and Remote
Access Servers | Edit Profile | Authentication.
Check-up MS-CHAPv2 checkbox, and then click
OK.
Modify Remote Access Policy
Settings
Launch IAS Console on your Radius Server.
Click Start | Run.
Type ias.msc and press ENTER.
Expand the Remote Access Policies node.
Double click a policy named Remote Access Policy.
Click Connections to Microsoft Routing and Remote
Access Servers | Edit Profile | Authentication.
Check-up MS-CHAPv2 checkbox, and then click
OK.
