Zero10 was borne out of a desire to showcase contemporary artists in a more intimate space than the standard clinical white walled gallery. The inspiration behind the name for the gallery was derived from a highly memorable exhibition of early 20th century artist, Kazimir Malevich at the last Futurist exhibition '0,10' where Malevich showed for the first time his famed work - Black Square (now at the Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow).
