I am from China. My Chinese name is Zi Wang ( 藍從)and Zi( 從) literally means the color purple .
For the English name, Riva is indeed not a middle name. I just want to add some water related meaning to my name, because according to the traditional chinese life-telling system, I am lack of water by nature, but My parents did not notice this when I was born ,so they decided on my Chinese name casually . Now that to this age, It is extremely troublesome to change my Chinese name, so I try to make possible remedy via English name.Anyway I don not think it superstitious.
