This notice encourages residents of Fairbanks North Star Borough, City of Fairbanks, and City of North Pole who experienced property damage from the November 12, 2013 winter storm to report their damages. Reporting damages is the first step to determine if the community is eligible for state or federal disaster assistance to help cover uninsured costs. Residents are asked to contact the Fairbanks North Star Borough Division of Emergency Management as soon as possible to submit a preliminary damage report, which will be compiled and sent to the State of Alaska to evaluate if individual assistance programs will be made available. In the meantime, residents should carefully document damages through photos or video and save all estimates and receipts.

Anyone who has had damage to their property in the Fairbanks North Star Borough, City of Fairbanks, and City of North Pole as a result of the November 12, 2013 severe winter storm - like a home, business, or personal belongings ¨C should report it now. **THIS IS AN I M P O RTAN T 1 S T S T E P IN R E C O V E RY WHY? Our community MAY be eligible for state or federal assistance to cover some of your uninsured losses and temporary housing costs. Developing an estimate of total uninsured damage in the community is a critical part of getting the help you and your neighbors need. HOW TO REPORT? Contact the Fairbanks North Star Borough Division of Emergency Management. After you report, tell your friends so they can report also. Use any of the contact methods shown below. WHEN?
