- 8. Counseling Counseling is an individual growth process to identify and solve problems relating to your personal concerns. It is a time to talk confidentially with a professional counselor who will listen and help you gain insight and acquire coping strategies to address troubling situations. We engage in a brief, solution-oriented process to help with personal, academic, and career concerns. • Personal Counseling • Crisis Counseling • Group Counseling • Workshops Counseling offices on the North Metro and Marietta campuses Students seek counseling when unhealthy behaviors and emotions interfere with success.
