Architectures are greatly impacted by the explosion of data volumes to be stored in Datacenters. As a consequence, a new standard called 束 Scale-out-NAS 損 emerged, focusing essentially on scalability, and running an Erasure Coding mechanism. The aim of this latter is to halve the volume of data to be stored when High Availability is required, though at the expense of a well-known drawback: a significant reduction of the Input / Output performances.
But on the other hand, most applications still require the exact same essential capabilities as before : standard File System interface, real-time access performances to any file whatever its size or usage -who would seriously claim he d
