He graduated in Biological Sciences in 1990 from the "Universitat Aut貌noma de Barcelona" with a PhD in Sciences "Cum laude" by the "Universitat Aut貌noma de Barcelona" in 1995.
He has been a Staff member in the Microbiology Department since 1996. He has been head of the Unit since 2004, and Associate Professor in the Genetics and Microbiology Department of the "Universitat Aut貌noma de Barcelona" since 2002. During his education, he carried out a 10-month visit (between 1993 and 1994) at the "Unit茅e des Agents Antibact茅riens" (Dr. Patrice Courvalin) in the Institute Pasteur in Paris.
