Gutsy Traveler Marybeth Bond left a career with Xerox and Honeywell for a two-year solo trip around the world. She has hiked, cycled, climbed, dived and kayaked her way through more than 90 countries, from the depths of the Flores Sea to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro 鈥� and met her future husband in Kathmandu after a month of trekking.
Returning home to San Francisco, she launched her own business writing, consulting, and continuing to travel with her husbandchildren, aging parents, and girlfriends. The award-winning author of 11 travel books, including Gutsy Women, Gutsy Mamas, and the Girlfriend Getaways series, she also writes for National Geographic as well as her own popular Gutsy
