Joseba Abaitua is senior lecturer in the Department of Modern Languages at the Faculty of Arts at the University of Deusto. He holds a degree in Linguistics from the University of the Basque Country, Masters and Ph.D. in Computational Linguistics from the Institute of Science and Technology, University of Manchester (UMIST). Joseba has participated in several research projects funded by public bodies (EC, MCYT, MEC and GV), in collaboration with private companies (CodeSyntax, Sarenet, Stella) and other university research groups (TALP UPC, UB CLIC, IULA/UPF, IXA of UPV-EHU, UNED). He has presented research results at numerous national and international conferences (SEPLN, JOTRI, ACL, COL...
