My parents had me late in life, after they thought their days of raising children was over. I was brought up as an only child in a blended family. I have 7 siblings but I have never shared a home with any of them. They literally live from coast to coast across North America. My mother and father both had children from previous relationships when they got married. Mom had 1 son, Steven. Dad had 3 sons, Jimmy, Eddie and Jeffery. When my father passed away, my mother married a man named Jim. He has 2 sons (David and Scott) and 1 daughter Traci. If it wasn't for holidays, weddings, funerals and facebook - I would never see my family.
