They waved their hands in joy so that Alfredo would notice them instantly. They hugged their father as soon as he approached them. They were crying in joy.

It is a kind of nonverbal communication where thoughts intentions or feelings are expressed by physical behavior such as facial expressions, body posture, gestures, eye movement, touch, and use of space. Body movements maybe implied as a verbs or an adjective.
