I am a Research fellow with 6+ years of experience in Human Genetics with emphasis on eye genetics. My doctoral work has allowed me to explore the genetic susceptibility factors for Primary Open Angle Glaucoma (POAG) which is a complex disease and the leading cause of irreversible blindness worldwide. I enjoyed my doctoral training and along with that interacting with the glaucoma patients directly which further drew my interest towards clinical genetics. My interest lies in applying my genetics knowledge directly for people鈥檚 health and to help the patients deal with the disease diagnosis and its complexities.
