In the back Strinic didn’t get many chances to attack, but in the right, Srna was in great shape and played really well both attaking and defending. Upfront, Mandzukic struggled against Pepe and Fonte, and it was clear he wasn’t 100%. Perisic, Rakitic and Brozovic, gave the pace the team needed. This shows some lack of accuracy, wit 17 shots and only 2 were on goal. Perisic, usually coming from behind and taking advantage of the 1-on-1 situations was the man who shooted the most with 7 shots. Madzukic, the biggest reference in the attack, only shot twice, revealing the struggled he had against the portuguese center backs.

There he fixed the defender perfectly and puts the ball on the left for Nani. Quaresma and Ronaldo were clever enought to understand the importance of the opposite side of the ball, as the ball was crossed they’re already there and Ronaldo first and Quaresma later made the winning goal for Portugal
