I have developed extensive expertise in GIS mapping and satellite image manipulation focusing on vegetation and soils, as well as extending that skill to social response mapping and multi criteria evaluation across social media. Many aspects of the degree have included hands-on field work looking at site specific issues like mine site rehabilitation to catchment issues like water quality and nutrient runoff. I have already spent 25 years building my very solid understanding of IT systems and infrastructure and can't wait to begin tying this altogether with my new knowledge and understanding of the world around us.
