Prof. Dr. Raad Z. Homod was born in Basra, Iraq. He received a B.Sc. degree from Basra University, Basra, Iraq, in 1991, and an M.Sc. degree from the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, both in mechanical engineering (with distinction). He received a Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Tenaga Nasional, Kajang, Malaysia. He worked in the HVAC system engineering industries from 1992鈥�2009. His research interests include nonlinear systems analysis, estimation, optimal control, process control, neural networks, HVAC systems, building models, and modelling sensors with Fuzzy logic.
