2010 FIBA RULE CHANGES ALL RULE CHANGES RELATED TO FLOOR MARKINGS WILL NOT BE USED FOR THE 2010/11 SEASON. 3-pt area油: line at 6,75 meters Rectangular restricted area (4,9 X 5,8 m) No-charge semi-circle (1,25m) Throw-in line油: at sideline, 8,325 m from endline, opposite scorers table
2010 FIBA RULE CHANGES 2008 RULE Equipment: Compression sleeves were not specifically approved. 2010 RULE Equipment油: Compression sleeves and stockings permitted (same colour as shirt/shorts)
2010 FIBA RULE CHANGES 2008 RULE Interval of play: At the beginning of the first period when the ball is legally tapped by a jumper on the jump ball. At the beginning of all other periods when the ball touches or is legally touched by a player on the playing court after the throw-in. 2010 RULE  Interval of play: Ends when ball is tossed or ball at disposal of thrower-in

2010 FIBA RULE CHANGES 2008 RULE Last Second Shot: No specific rule; officials were to judge if the shot was released prior to the buzzer 2010 RULE Last second shot: Near the end of a period, the game clock must show at least 0:00.3 for a player to secure control of the ball and attempt a try for goal.  If clock shows 0:00.2 or 0:00.1, the only legal goal must be made as a result of a tap or direct dunk.
2010 FIBA RULE CHANGES 2008 RULE Last 2 minutes: The player taking the throw-in shall have one foot on either side of the centre line extended and shall be entitled to pass the ball to a team-mate at any place on the playing court. 2010 RULE Last 2 minutes: Team entitled to throw-in in backcourt takes time out, throw-in at throw-in line in its frontcourt This rule change may not be used!
2010 FIBA RULE CHANGES 2008 RULE 8-second rule Count starts when a player gains control of a live ball in his backcourt, his team must cause the ball to go into its frontcourt within eight (8) seconds. 2010 RULE 8-second rule: Count starts as soon as any player touches or is touched by the ball in the backcourt and the team taking the throw-in remains in control of the ball
2010 FIBA RULE CHANGES 2008 RULE Ball in front court: A player dribbling the ball could have both feet in the front court bounce the off his foot, fumble it off his leg, lose the ball into the backcourt and legally recover the ball. 2010 RULE Ball in front court: The ball touches or is legally touched by an offensive player who has both feet in contact with his frontcourt
2010 FIBA RULE CHANGES 2008 RULE 24-second rule Started or restarted whenever a team gains control of a live ball on the playing court 2010 RULE 24-second rule On a throw-in, the shot clock starts as soon as the ball touches or is touched by any player on the playing surface and the team taking the throw-in remains in control of the ball

2010 FIBA RULE CHANGES 2008 RULE Unsportsmanlike foul When the ball is out-of-bounds for a throw-in and is still in the hands of the official or is already at the disposal of the thrower-in and at that moment a defensive player on the court causes contact with a player of the team of the thrower-in also on the court and the foul is called, this shall be judged as unsportsmanlike.  2010 RULE Unsportsmanlike foul Only during the last 2 minutes of the 4 th  period or overtime will a foul committed by a defender while the ball is at the disposal of the thrower-in, be called an unsportsmanlike foul 油
