About
Tony Laing, M.P.A., Ed.M.,Ph.D., recently completed a two-year Postdoctoral Associate position at NYU's Research Alliance for New York City Schools. While at the Alliance, Dr. Laing co-led a qualitative study as part of the Research Alliance鈥檚 evaluation of the Expanded Success Initiative, which aims to improve college readiness among NYC鈥檚 Black and Latino young men. Since Fall 2015, Tony serves as Alumni Trustee and on the Board of Directors at his alma mater Wheaton College (MA), and is an Adjunct Assistant Professor. His research lie at the intersection of K-12 education, gender studies (specifically, constructions of masculinity), queer theory, and African-American studies.
