I grew up in wild, wonderful West Virginia (Kopperston). I graduated from Oceana High in 91'. I briefly attended Concord College before heading to Marshall University (GO HERD!), where I graduated with a Bachelors in Elementary Education. I was a substitute teacher for a short period in Cabell and Kanawha Counties. In June of 2000 I decided to head south in search of a full-time teaching position. I landed in Mooresville, NC , and have been working for Iredell-Statesville Schools since July 2000.
